2019: Time for even more
After a thoroughly action packed 2018 where I’ve learnt many different new technologies (AngularJS, Gulp and more) along with some more protocol-esque things (SWIFT, you and your MT103s and friends, I’m looking at you!) and finally getting a product onto a regular release (weekly!) cadence that had had 4 release previously over 18 months,… it’s time to look forward to what 2019 is going to bring.
At the moment the hit list is:
- Azure *all* the things
- Start the process of re-architecting and rebuilding a LOB app that’s been around for over a decade (WebForms and VB.NET, aargh)
- Keep driving forward process improvements with a heavy slant towards automation
- Drive monitoring into every aspect of every application. I want to know that a customer had had a problem *the moment* they do, and not a second later
What does your 2019 look like?
My skillset has matured somewhat since then, which you'll probably see from the posts here. You can read a bit more about me on the about page of the site, or check out some of the other posts on my areas of interest.
