Tuna Toast

Tuna Toast
It sounds a bit strange, but this is nice for breakfast!

Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 5 minutes
tuna, bread, toast, cheese, spring onion, scallion


  • 1 slice of bread
  • Half a tin of tuna in brine, drained (about 50g)
  • 1 spring onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tsp mayonnaise
  • Cheddar, enough to cover the bread
  • Shropshire Red, enough to cover the bread
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to season


  1. Toast the bread on both sides
  2. Mix the tuna, spring onion, mayo and salt and pepper together
  3. Spread the tuna mixture over the bread
  4. Grate the cheddar and shropshire red over the top of the tuna
  5. Put under the grill until the cheese is melting and bubbling
  6. Eat whilst still hot!
