Cheese Scones
Something of a quick Sunday afternoon snack, cheese scones that have been slathered with french salted butter - the sort of butter that contains crystals of sea salt - is quite a nice treat!

Ingredients
- 300g self raising flour
- 50g butter, chopped into small cubes
- 200ml milk
- 25g finely grated pamesan
- 25g finely grated shropshire red cheese
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
Method
- Pre-heat the oven to 200 degrees (fan assisted)
- Rub the butter into the flour
- Add the remaining ingredients and bring together to form a a dough
- Very lightly and briefly knead on a well floured surface
- Squash the dough until its around 2cm thick and cut out scones. Fold the dough together and repeat until it's all used up
- Brush the scones with milk, bake for 15 to 20 minutes then put on a rack to cool slightly before serving
